Molded Fibre Pulp Packaging Is A Biodegradable, Renewable, And Mainly Wood-Based Raw Material.

Molded fiber pulp packaging

Molded fibre, commonly referred to as moulded pulp, is a type of packaging material produced mostly of wood pulp, recycled paperboard, and/or newsprint. After their useful life-cycle, such objects made from recycled materials can be recycled again. Molded fibre has multiple qualities that make it ideal for protective packaging in a variety of industries, including food service trays and beverage carriers, as well as electronics

Molded fiber pulp packaging is created from fibrous materials like recycled paper, cardboard, or other natural fibres (sugarcane, bamboo, wheat straw). The colour, surface texture, and strength of the packaging are all determined by the raw materials. Molded pulp packing is shaped to fit a specific shape.

The texture, colour, and performance of moulded pulp packing are all influenced by the raw ingredients used to make it. The majority of moulded pulp products are made from a mixture of water and cellulose fibres, which form a pulp aggregate. Recycled paper, recycled cardboard, and natural fibres are all common sources of cellulose fibres. Different raw materials are employed depending on the desired output, such as precision and plain moulded items; for example, recovered papers are commonly used for plain moulding products. The drying methods used in the production of moulded pulp packaging vary widely, including heated oven, impulse drying, hot air convection drying, and microwave drying.

Molded fiber pulp packaging, which provides superior cushioning and vibration dampening capabilities, is widely used in protective packaging applications around the world. The use of moulded fibre pulp packaging in the logistics, cosmetics, healthcare, and automotive industries is quickly expanding.

The product expansion is expected to be fueled by rising demand for moulded fibre pulp packaging as a protective packaging for nursery pots, floral containers, food trays, and beverage containers. Increased demand from the transportation industry for environmentally friendly solutions with high vibration dampening and cushioning capabilities is expected to boost the expansion.

Molded fibre pulp packaging expertise also extends to shipping wine bottles and retail packaging for cosmetics, as well as protective packs for jarred candles, computer cushions, and mobile phone inserts. To address the growing demand for eco-friendly packaging with high-quality features, an increased R&D effort with standardised design and testing processes is required.
